Ynn Fiidell

Daughter of the Watchwarder, Ynn is a noble member of the stagnant elvish society of Tuarhievel.  Her father, the Watchwarder, is the equivalent of a Baron among the elves, a second cousin to the Prince.  Although her family's estate is vast by human terms, amongst the other elves the Watchwarder position is more a post of honor than riches, and the family is relatively poor, compared to the other Elven nobles.  Nevertheless, her father is famous among the elves as a military veteran, who served as a Lieutenant in the Royal Skyspears of Tuarhievel.

Ynn is the firstborn legitimate only child of her parents. She grew up in an extended family of her mother, Father, two paternal grandparents, and a paternal aunt.

Ynn was born in the middle of winter, in a Healer's Guild hall in the forest. Her birth would have passed unremarkably if it hadn’t been for the strange woman in riding leathers who strode in out of the cold winter winds to place a book in the infant’s cradle. The sealed book bore her name, embossed in golden letters. Though it seemed like mere wax, no one could break the seal.

At age 72, she gained some fame for running away from home and returning 1 month later.

At age 78, she enters the service of a dwarf who was an old ally of her father and who now acts as her patron. The dwarf provides for her formal education and introduces her to his other elven ward, a young man from a very prestigious family, but much younger than she. She falls in love with the lad. Her infatuation with the boy lasts about two years, until she discovers that her love is really more interested in her secret book, than in her.
At age 120, Ynn rescues an old man from brigands, and he blesses her for it, making her extremely lucky.

Her personality is Egalitarian (which leans strongly towards good tendencies), willing to champion whatever seems just and right (even if it is not).
